DEPARTMENT OF ANATOMY

Anatomy is a branch of medicine that studies the structure and functions of the human body. This branch of medicine specializes in research and practice of histology tissue processing, cadaveric dissection, museum specimen preparation and cytogenetics. Gross Anatomy teaching department has embalming facility, cadaver storage tank and cold storage plant and Gross anatomy laboratory for 150 students at a time, Museum with sufficient number of dissected/displayed parts/specimens of human body/models/charts, and 2 demonstration/tutorial rooms with capacity of 80 each. For microscopic anatomy there is UG histology laboratory with 90 microscopes.
